Yeontan was rescued from the Yongsan demolition site with her three tiny kittens. We knew she had given birth and searched for over a month before finally finding where she was keeping her babies safe. They were only about 1.5 to 2 months old when rescued. Yeontan was still so young herself — almost a kitten raising kittens. Yet she was never aggressive, only cautious and protective. After some initial health concerns, her babies were later reunited with her, and now they are doing beautifully together in foster care. Yeontan was not pettable at first, but her kittens, who have learned to trust and love humans, are becoming her gentle guides. Slowly but surely, she is becoming more approachable, one small step at a time.
