Coco is one of the oldest town cats from the Hannam-dong demolition site — a quiet survivor of over 7 years on the street, something rarely seen. He was known by many neighbors, but when the area emptied and people were forced out, he was left behind. Upon rescue, Coco was calm. At the shelter, he carried himself like an uncle — steady, gentle, often found near Tongtong, simply being there for others. We thought he was just a chill old man. But in the right foster home, Coco showed us something more. He became a baby again. He gets zoomies, explores with curiosity, loves other cats, and enjoys resting on the sofa or bed like he’s always belonged there. He is not fully pettable yet, but he accepts churu from people — a quiet sign of trust growing. Coco is learning what comfort feels like, one step at a time… and waiting for a home to call his own.
